Who is eligible to purchase Travel Insurance with Vital Health?
Vital Health can only provide policies if you are a resident of the UK.
Will you offer cover if the FCDO is advising against travel to the country I need to travel to?
Vital Health are unable to provide cover if you are travelling against FCDO advise.
Can I purchase an annual policy?
Vital Health can only provide single trip insurance but offer a multi policy discount.
What if my medication is lost or stolen?
Our policy will cover you for your lost or stolen medication up to the amount shown in your policy wording.
I already have a policy with you, but I’ve just been diagnosed with a new condition, do I have to tell you?
Yes, you would need to let us know about any new conditions, we will continue to cover you, as long as you are still fit to travel, and you are not travelling against any doctor or consultants’ advice.
What is classed as a pre-existing medical condition?
Vital Health’s medical warranty is:
Have you or anyone on the policy-
B)    Any Cancer conditions, Heart conditions, Diabetic condi tions, Breathing conditions, any Renal, Kidney or Liver condi tions.
C)    Any Psychiatric or Psychological conditions (including anxi ety, stress, and depression)
And /Or
Any other medical condition for which you have been prescribed medication or which you have
received or are waiting to receive treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations
within the last 12 months.
Who underwrites your travel insurance policy?
Vital Health Travel Insurance is underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance who are fully owned by AXA SA.
Am I covered if I fall ill to Covid before I am due to travel OR whilst I’m abroad?
Yes, Vital Health provides Covid cover, if you are not travelling against the advice of the FCDO.
What is the maximum age you can insure up to?
Vital Health Travel Insurance can cover up to the age of 121.
I am waiting for my medical condition to be diagnosed; can I still get travel Insurance?
Once your medical condition has been diagnosed and treated, we can look at providing cover, if you are fit and well to travel.
I need to cancel my holiday; how do I claim on my insurance?
Simply call the Vital Health claims line on 0203 976 9415 they will talk you through the claims process.
I want to cancel my Travel insurance policy; Can I get a full refund?
If you cancel your policy within 14 days of purchase, Vital Health will provide a full refund, provided you have not yet travelled or made a claim.
Do I need to take my travel Insurance documents with me when I travel?
Vital Health would recommend you take your travel insurance documents with you, this will speed up the process if you need medical care or attention in a hospital or clinic.
Do I need to tell you if I have a change in my medication before I travel?
Yes, please let us know so we can make a note on your policy, we won’t charge you any extra.
Do you need to know the names of my medications?
No, we just need to know the names of the medical conditions you have and in some cases the number of medications you take.
What should I do if there’s a mistake on my policy?
If you spot a mistake on your policy, please let us know and we will amend your details immediately.
When should I buy my Travel Insurance?
You should consider buying Travel Insurance as soon as you book your holiday, and you have money at risk if you need to cancel.
Will my policy cover me for repatriation?
Yes, you are covered up to £10,000,000 for Repatriation. (Excess of £50.00)
What is IPT?
Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) is a government levy that applies to all insurance policies. Currently this is 20%.
Am I covered for Winter sports?
Winter sports can be cover is the appropriate additional premium has been paid.
